Jeremy’s ties to the Cayman Islands go back several decades having lived here on and off since his parents moved here permanently in 1996. It has always been his wish to make Cayman his long term home and to become a law practitioner in the Islands. After marrying his wife Laura Durston (nee Munyard) whom he met while attending the Truman Bodden Law School, his intention to permanently live in Cayman and practise law was finally solidified.

Jeremy completed the first two thirds of his LLB law degree at Truman Bodden Law School and later transferred to the University of Liverpool where in his 2008 graduation, he received not only first class honours but the award for the best performance in the final LLB exams. He then undertook pupillage and practised for over 5 years at Exchange Chambers in Liverpool in both civil and criminal law before returning to Cayman in 2013.

Jeremy joined Campbells in January 2014 as a paralegal and, since his admission, has become the firm’s newest Associate in our ever expanding litigation and dispute resolution department.

“Although I enjoyed my time practising at the Bar in England, I am so pleased to be back in the Cayman Islands and I’m excited to commence working as an Attorney in Campbells’ litigation department. I would like to thank the Partners for affording me this opportunity and I look forward to a long and fruitful career here”, says Jeremy.

Ross McDonough, Managing Partner and Head of Litigation, said “We are pleased that Jeremy has been called to the Cayman Bar and are proud of his accomplishments to date.” He adds, “Jeremy is a hardworking, experienced individual and is an asset to the firm. We look forward to seeing him continue to develop his legal career in the coming years.”
