Campbells is pleased to announce that Ross McDonough, Senior Partner, Managing Partner Hong Kong has been appointed Queen\u2019s Counsel and his appointment will be recognised in a formal ceremony in the Cayman Islands Grand Court later this month.<\/p>\n
The award of Queen\u2019s Counsel is made for excellence in advocacy and, in the Cayman Islands, is made on the recommendation of the Judges of the Grand Court to the Governor of the Cayman Islands. That recommendation is then considered by the Governor who, in turn, must obtain approval of the recommendation from the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs. Once approved at this level, the Governor makes the appointment on behalf of the Queen.<\/p>\n
