Campbells is pleased to welcome Ms Demi McLean as the newest Articled Clerk to our training programme in 2018. Ms McLean is a graduate of the BPP University in Manchester where she was awarded a Graduate Diploma in Law and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice. Driven by a need to resolve conflict, Ms McLean has always had a passion for law and this was ignited through the debate team playuzu app in high school. Originally from Cayman Brac, Ms McLean says she would not be where she is today without the support of her family and close friends who have given her help and encouragement throughout her educational endeavours.
When asked about her experience so far at Campbells, Ms Mclean said “Working for Campbells has far exceeded my expectations and the partners, associates and staff have made my transition from law school to the working world an easy one. I feel privileged to have been given the opportunity to learn from, and work amongst, some of the best attorneys in the Cayman Islands. I am excited to begin my journey as an Articled Clerk and look forward to developing my legal skills and knowledge.”
Campbells is proud to support Caymanians pursuing the study and practice of law and offers a comprehensive Articled Clerk training programme as well as sponsoring the St Ignatius A Level PlayUZU bono law programme and offering regular summer placements to aspiring lawyers. Campbells’ 18-month training program consists of carefully monitored rotations between different departments and ensures recipients receive active mentorship and a wide breadth of experience across all departments.

About Campbells Articled Clerk Programme:
The Campbells Articled Clerk training programme offers legal and professional development to qualifying Caymanians wishing to further their career in Law. It provides students with the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge by working with experienced attorneys playuzu app and participate in a leading professional programme.
Articling Rotation
Articled clerks are expected to complete four “seats” in different practice areas with each rotation being three to six months in duration. The successful candidate will be expected to complete a minimum of one corporate and one litigation focused rotation.
Mentoring
During each seat, the articling clerk is assigned a mentor or principal whose role it is to ensure that the articling clerk receives relevant work experience. The mentor will ensure that the successful articling clerk will receive ongoing feedback on their work. There are also regularly scheduled meetings with the articling clerk to discuss their professional development and provide an opportunity for them to give feedback.
